Legendary comedian Umer Sharif passes away:

Legendary Pakistani comedian Umer Sharif has passed away in Germany, where he had gone for medical treatment. The comedian suffered a cardiac arrest. He was taken to the hospital but couldn’t survive. The comedian was in his 60s. He is survived by his wife and two sons who have settled abroad. He is also survived by his three brothers, including one who lives in Canada.

He was in Germany to perform and suffered cardiac arrest. He along with his wife and son were accompanying his ailing sister-in-law for treatment in Germany. A Pakistani famous actor Umer Sharif and his wife Zareen Ghazal was being shifted to the United States through an air ambulance along with his wife Zareen Ghazal. Both were shifted to the United States for their better treatment. The air ambulance left the country on Wednesday.

The legendary comedian, who is suffering from pneumonia, was taken to a hospital in the southern German city of Mainz. He was then transported to a clinic in Baden-Baden, where he had been on vacation with his wife. The German authorities had allowed the emergency landing on humanitarian grounds and extended the comedian and his wife a 15-day visa.

Sharif family is in shock after the death of Umer Sharif. Umaira, wife of Umer Sharif confirmed the death and said that he was in Germany for treatment and he breathed his last today. She said that her husband fought with illness for long and finally lost the battle. He is survived by wife and two children.
